AXIS of FOUR released “Jettisoned”, an independent EP CD and digital release from Ratso Recording & Music on November 11. The album opens with “Stem The Tide”, previously released as a single on August 30. Written and produced by Rick Cittar, mixed by D-Wiz, and mastered by Michael Romanowsky, the song runs the gamut from creamy-dreamy clean tones to fierce rock, all supporting Rick’s passionate and soaring vocal performance that proposes artistic creativity as the impetus for the unstoppable tide of historical development. “Jettisoned” also features “Full Of Rock”, an anthem to the enthusiasm of rockers everywhere, laden with Sabbath-like riffs and double leads; and “Amerika 2021” a somewhat psychedelic rock tune in the tradition of “For What It’s Worth”, describing the general state of unrest in our society with provocative lyrics sung to a haunting duet lead vocal, and supported with riffs on overdriven tube amps..

"Flintstoned", the first indie-rock album released by the AXIS OF FOUR in August 2013, opens with "Ol' Red '49", an uptempo punk paean to a beautiful custom Jimmy driven at breakneck speed. "It's a catchy tune", says our friend, Grammy-winner producer and composer Steve Horowitz. "Falling in Love With You Again" follows with a distinct sonic change to clean strat tones for a song about renewing love and the joy of the creative process. It's AXIS OF FOUR at their most pop, and showcases Chris's beautiful guitar motif at the climax of the bridge.  Then comes "Gojira", our favorite atomic monster song with a distinct arrangement that features Rick's Japanese soliloquay that leads to the bridge in the key of the sub-dominant.  Chris takes the vamp out with some crazy licks behind Rick's singing of the folly of men.  The album concludes with "Hour of The Day”, a heavy, heavy riff-laden song about high-school love and dealing with the devil when he comes 'round to collect.  Pay up boys!
